Every university continues to look for better ways to identify students who may be at risk, and to plan ways to support these students to succeed in their studies. This webinar will present two case studies that exemplify the work being done across Australia and New Zealand.
The first presenter will be Loretta Dayman, Manager Student Success at Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Western Australia. ECU have used technology to normalise help-seeking behaviours by students through their SUCCEED program. This is an institution-wide initiative that directs students to personalised support to improve their success and retention.
The second presenter will be Dr Suranjika Tittawella, Student & Academic Engagement Manager at the University of Auckland. The Auckland Law School’s SuccessSync program focuses on students who have failed a core course more than once, including those who may not have triggered the academic standing process. The program has adopted holistic support strategies that go beyond traditional academic interventions.
